The Simple Woman's Daybook

Several of my blogging friends participate in this. I've always enjoyed reading what they wrote and getting a little glimpse into their lives, so am going to try one of my own.

FOR TODAY: February 2nd, 2009
Outside my window...the sun is shining, the deck is covered with snow, and it's too cold to play outside
I am thinking...about going Denny's tomorrow, because they are supposedly giving every American a free Grand Slam.
I am thankful for...the fact we have enough.
From the learning rooms...all of the usual things. Two of the kids are done for the day. Random is finishing up his math, and Mango is catching up on some reading.
From the kitchen...Leftovers for lunch, and turkey breast with potatoes for supper.
I am wearing...a soft, hooded sweater and old jeans
I am creating... a blog entry (Ha!)
I am going...to BSF tonight.
I am reading...Unshaken by Francine Rivers. It is a fictionalized story of the book of Ruth from the Bible.
I am hoping...to watch the Bachelor after I get home tonight
I am hearing...The quiet voices of 4 kids playing (a neighbor boy is over), the tap of computer keys as Random does his math, and the dishwasher running from the kitchen
Around the house...are blankets and toys on the floor. (I won't mention the dust bunnies.)
One of my favorite things...is curling up with my Kindle and a soft blanket.
A few plans for the rest of the week: school, lunch out with friends
Here is picture thought I am sharing: If you want to see other daybooks, please check out the Simple Woman's Daybook blog.

Hi Jodi! Saw you had a blog, thought I'd stop in! I have one too! It really is a fun way to keep track of the goings on with the kids!!!
