Simple Woman's Daybook for 5/4/09

FOR TODAY, May 5th, 2009
Outside my window...The sun is shining; there are only a few big, fluffy clouds in the blue skies, and it is supposed to get up to 71 degrees here today.
I am thinking... about the fun we had this past weekend.
I am thankful for...the money CSC was able to raise and for all of the wonderful people (especially two of my children) that have been brought into my life because of that organization
From the learning rooms... Mango is completely done with her school year, and the others are working towards the end. They know what they need to accomplish to be "done", now they just need to do it.
From the kitchen... Maybe spaghetti. It always takes me awhile to adjust our menu to a new season. We don't like having to turn the oven on once it gets warm outside, so I have to start remembering all of my "stove top" type meals.
I am wearing... a maroon Eeyore shirt, blue jeans, and striped socks
I am creating... no current projects are in the works
I am going... to BSF this evening.
I am reading... a series by an author named Cheryl Wyatt. I've never heard of her before, but she's actually quite good!
I am hoping...Mango's mouth won't get too sore today. She started her orthodontic work this morning, and they put in some spacers to create room between the teeth for the bands she will need for her expander. She is already telling me her mouth hurts and looking sad. And no one can look genuinely sad quite like she can.
I am hearing... pages turning, computer keys tapping, and the soft scratch of pencils as three kids do their school work; and the not so quiet voices of two kids playing and crashing matchbox cars
Around the house... Laundry to fold after our weekend away, but truthfully, I don't plan on spending alot of time indoors today!
One of my favorite things... Time with families and friends, and an orthodontic staff that is caring and nuturing with their young patients
A few plans for the rest of the week: School work, and time outside

Why does laundry never end? Ok, I am not complaining. I am thankful for clothes to wear. When I remember our visit to the Phils, I remember how blessed I am. :)
